No crochet skills or materials necessary!Bridging communities is a large-scale public art installation that will see Belleville’s Upper front street bridge transformed with vibrant hand-crafted crochet pieces.
Led by local Belleville artist Emebet Belete, everyone from students to seniors, locals, and people from around the world are invited to participate.
Community groups and community members are forming crochet drop-ins, groups and learning sessions around the community. Materials will be provided and there will be 10 5mm crochet hooks available at the meetup for people to learn with. We will be working with Phentex yarn.
Join us at Presqu’ile Waddling Arts Centre to learn to crochet and paticipate in this inititive.
