About this Event
Come celebrate the public premiere screening of new film works by BAVC Media's 2024 Bridges Live! Fellows. These mediamakers have spent four weeks developing skills in live event video production, and have partnered with a variety of local artists and organizations to produce a selection of video pieces celebrating art, music, performance, and community. This event will feature a reception and screening of the fellows' culminating projects at BAVC Media's home at the 9th St Independent Film Center.
BAVC Media offered the Bridges Live! four-week summer intensive program, equipping transitional-age youth (18-24 yrs old) with skills for live event videography. Fellows received comprehensive training in camera operation, editing workflows, and soft skills like teamwork and communication. Throughout the program, fellows collaborated with a variety of community partners and other local artists and performers, enhancing their real-world experience and networking opportunities.
