Brian Finnegan is a celebrated composer, collaborator and producer whose global career has seen him perform and record with artists including KAN, Cara Dillon, Boris Grebenshikov, Anoushka Shankar, Bebel Gilberto and Ed Sheeran. A former pupil of the Armagh Piper’s Club and frontman of Flook for over 30 years, Brian continues to push the boundaries of Irish traditional music. His 2020 album Hunger of the Skin – a worldwide collaboration of 24 musicians — earned critical acclaim, with its first single nominated for ‘Best Original Track’ at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards. For this performance, he is joined by the Hunger of the Skin Band: Seán O’Meara, Patsy Reid, Conor McCreanor and Liam Bradley.
Opening the evening are Connemara siblings Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta, whose powerful performance of Anach Cuain on The Late Late Show captivated millions. Known for their sean‑nós singing, rich harmonies and deep connection to language and heritage, they are acclaimed performers with multiple All‑Ireland titles.
