Whether you're an athlete, fitness enthusiast, or simply looking to improve your overall well-being, this event is for you. Don't miss this opportunity to take your breathing to the next level!
In this workshop you will learn what true diaphragm breathing is, why breathing properly is necessary for stabilizing your core effectively and moving well, and how to begin improving your breathing pattern. Erin will take you through some basic training positions and show you how to begin adding this important training into your daily activities and exercise programs.
Please bring a towel (and your own yoga matt if you'd rather not use one of ours).
Core360 belts will be available to utilize during the workshop, but are not necessary to gain useful insight and takeaways from the workshop.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The core360 belt is designed to help you properly activate and train breathing and the core. Designed by a physical therapist, our belts strategically apply pressure to key areas around your trunk to heighten awareness of correct core engagement and breathing patterns.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Erin McGuire PT, OCS has been a dedicated physical therapist for 28 years, an orthopedic clinical specialist since 2002 and an international DNS instructor since 2017. Her passion for movement and practice of DNS has increased her interest and focus on the diaphragm, relating to both breathing and core stabilization and the key role they play in creating optimal stabilization and movement. After years of seeing how widespread impaired diaphragm function is with all activity levels of the population and how difficult improving diaphragm activity was for her clients, she created the core360 belt in 2014. Utilizing the core360 belt, it became more evident how improving diaphragm activity had an immediate and instantaneous impact on the quality of movement and stabilization patterns. Training of this key muscle became front-and-center in her treatment strategy with every client. Through teaching and the core360 belt, her passion and goal is to assist in furthering understanding of the diaphragm’s role in movement and why training good diaphragm function is a necessity for everyone.
