About this Event
Breath, Line, and Ritual is a 2-hour immersive workshop inviting you into a slow, sensory journey where movement, breath, and mark-making meet.
Guided by Monica Mardare and Kiran Shrestha, this experience weaves together gentle yoga, mindful breathing, and expressive drawing, inspired by Nepali cultural rituals and the quiet beauty of everyday spiritual practices.
The session begins with grounding breathwork and soft yoga sequences designed to calm the nervous system and bring awareness into the body. From this embodied state, participants will transition into intuitive drawing, using line, rhythm, and repetition as a form of meditation and self-expression. No previous yoga or drawing experience is needed — the focus is on process, presence, and personal exploration rather than outcome.
Throughout the workshop, participants will be guided by ritual, sound, colour, and symbolism drawn from Nepali culture, creating space to slow down, reconnect, and express creatively in a supportive environment.
This workshop is ideal for anyone seeking a deeper connection between body and creativity, a calm, reflective, and culturally inspired experience and an accessible introduction to mindful movement and art-making
All materials are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for gentle movement. Bring your own mat.
