About this Event
A collaborative, in-person breastfeeding workshop hosted by Gauthier Family Chiropractic, Dr. Julie and Certified Lactation Counselor & Postpartum Doula, Annie Guevara.
Welcoming a baby is a beautiful transition, but the early days can feel overwhelming without clear guidance and support. This Breastfeeding 101 class is designed to help expecting parents feel informed, confident, and prepared before their baby arrives.
Together, Gauthier Family Chiropractic and Annie offer a supportive, beginner-friendly approach that blends lactation education with an understanding of how a baby’s body and nervous system influence feeding, comfort, and regulation.
This class focuses on what is normal in the early days of breastfeeding and helps parents understand how birth, positioning, and infant development can impact latch, feeding ease, digestion, and overall comfort.
In this class, we will cover:
Breastfeeding Foundations
- How breastfeeding works in the early days
- Latch and positioning basics
- Milk supply: what’s normal and when to seek support
- The first days and weeks after birth
- How partners can provide meaningful support
Baby’s Body & Nervous System
- How the nervous system plays a role in regulation, comfort, and feeding ease
- Gentle, supportive strategies that may help improve comfort and feeding
This collaborative approach allows families to better understand both the feeding relationship and the physical factors that can influence breastfeeding success.
Our goal is for you to leave feeling calm, confident, and supported — with a clearer understanding of what to expect and who to turn to if challenges arise.
This class is ideal for expecting parents and first-time families. All feeding journeys are welcome.
