Route Information: This year’s 4km route is a there and back walk, making it easy for teams of all sizes to enjoy the day together. The path is fully accessible and stroller friendly and features refreshment top up points.
Dogs: We love furry friends! Well behaved pups and service animals are welcome at the Toronto Walk. We just ask that they stay on leash.
Parking: Enjoy free on-site parking just steps from the Walk Village.

Family Fun Zone
Get ready for a morning bursting with fun and colour! Dive into face painting, button making, beading, and loads of creative crafts.
Live Entertainment
We are bringing big energy this year!
Live DJ pumping out family favourites to keep you dancing and singing from the moment you arrive.
T Shirt Fashion Show is back by popular demand. Jump on stage, strike your best pose, and show off your team t shirt with pride.
Paint It Blue Station where you can add blue hair spray, streaks, or a ribbon to show your Breakthrough spirit.
Wishing Tree where you can share your message of hope, strength, or inspiration.
Photo frame selfies, Superheroes, and Rufus Bear hugs adding extra fun throughout the morning.
Games and Activities
Enjoy Mini Putt, Giant Jenga, Connect Four, and Tug of War against other teams or challenge your Breakthrough T1D staff.
Med Tech Village
Be sure to visit our Med Tech partners in the Walk Village.
Light Refreshments
We will have light refreshments on site to keep you fuelled. Remember to bring your reusable water bottle.
Breakthrough T1D Walk is a high-energy, family-friendly event where you’ll meet others who "just get it.” Expect smiles, team spirit, and a whole lot of heart. The Walk is more than just an event – it's a celebration of the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community, where families, volunteers, and supporters come together to help make every day better for those living with type 1 diabetes.
