Youth Workshop #1 - POWER TO THE PEACEFUL
Host: Brandon Santiago
Info: POWER TO THE PEACEFUL: Prototyping Peace Through Poetry, Story & Conflict Transformation
In a world that constantly rehearses conflict, what would it look like to rehearse peace?
This interactive workshop led by Brandon Santiago and The Peace Studio invites young artists, poets, and storytellers into a live creative laboratory exploring conflict, identity, power, and repair through spoken word, roleplay, collaborative writing, and restorative narrative practices.
Part poetry cypher, part storytelling workshop, and part social imagination lab, this session encourages participants to see peace not as passive or performative, but as an active creative practice rooted in empathy, accountability, courage, and collective possibility.
Participants will leave with new writing, new tools, and new ways of imagining what becomes possible when we practice peace as intentionally as we practice performance.
