A family-friendly birdwatch along Crow Point banks, led by avid birder and wildlife enthusiast Andy Leat.No booking required. Suggested £4 donation per person on the day* (free for under 16s). Don’t forget £2.50 for the toll gate.
We will meet at Crow Point Car Park at 10.30am (via toll road) and walk along the banks towards the Devon Wildlife Trust nature reserve of Horsey Island.
Crow Point bank is relatively flat with some up and down hill to access and some stone stiles that can be avoided by walking down to the road and back. Because of this, the walk is suited for able adults and children over the age of 6.
There will be an opportunity to use a telescope or binoculars to get a closer look at our feathered friends. Some binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
*The Braunton Countryside Centre is a small volunteer-run charity. We rely on donations to keep our doors open and maintain a vibrant events programme. We also want to make sure our events are open to all, regardless of circumstances. So, although we do not charge event fees, we do ask for a suggested minimum donation of £4 per person, but any amount you are happy/able to give would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to further contribute to our running costs, you can become a Friend of Braunton Countryside Centre for £15 per year. Please find the details on our website, or ask at the Centre.
