Your story is your brand — and your brand is your power.
Branding & Storytelling for Creatives is a free, community-centered workshop designed for creatives, entrepreneurs, and aspiring business owners who are building a brand or exploring the idea of starting one. This interactive session will explore how personal experiences, culture, and authenticity can be transformed into a compelling brand identity that connects, inspires, and builds trust.
Hosted by Curvaceous Behavior, a Charlotte-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this event aligns with the organization’s mission to empower women, creatives, and underserved communities through confidence-building, self-expression, and professional development. Curvaceous Behavior creates spaces where individuals are encouraged to own their voice, honor their journey, and turn passion into purpose — making this workshop a natural extension of its ongoing work in leadership, wellness, and community empowerment.
Participants will gain practical insight into storytelling as a branding tool, learn from successful local entrepreneurs, and connect with fellow creatives in a welcoming environment. Free food will be provided as we gather to learn, share, and grow together.
🌟 Featured Guest Speakers
✨ Cheryse Terry — Founder & Owner, Archive CLT
Cheryse Terry is a Charlotte native, visionary entrepreneur, and the founder of Archive CLT, a café and cultural space dedicated to preserving Black history and storytelling through community engagement. What began as a personal collection of historical memorabilia evolved into a powerful third-space for creatives, artists, and changemakers on Beatties Ford Road. Through grassroots fundraising and intentional storytelling, Cheryse successfully raised $40,000 in 40 days to bring Archive CLT to life. Her work demonstrates how a deeply personal story can become a meaningful, sustainable brand rooted in culture, purpose, and impact.
🍔 Magloire Lubika — Co-Owner, Surefire Market
Magloire Lubika is one of three brothers behind Surefire Market, a business that is redefining what a neighborhood market can be. More than a place to grab a chicken sandwich, Surefire Market is a hub for culture, creativity, and community connection. Built from a family-owned convenience store legacy, the Lubika brothers transformed their shared vision into a brand that brings people together through food, storytelling, and neighborhood pride. Their journey highlights how intentional branding and shared values can turn a business into a cultural gathering space with real community impact.
