About this Event
Join us for a once in a lifetime chance to get up close to see Bramall Hall’s roof restoration project live in action. See first-hand the essential repair works being undertaken on this fascinating rooftop tour of Stockport’s only Grade I listed property.
Enjoy unique views of Bramhall Park and learn about how the Hall was built, the traditional skills used and the Hall’s ecology. Also hear from experts involved in the construction and conservation efforts to safeguard the fabric of the Hall and its collections for future generations.
Following a generous grant from Arts Council England Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND) and with additional funding from Stockport Council, the existing diminishing grit stone tiles are being re-laid and replaced, as are the gutters and stonework is being repaired and repointed. The tour gives visitors exclusive access to the Hall’s beautiful high-level elevations including stunning views of finials, carved barge boards, decorative chimneys, bespoke hoppers, diminishing coursed roofing and formed ironmongery.
Ticket does not include admission inside Bramall Hall.
