🌳 ❌ BRADFORD PEAR BOUNTY ❌ 🌳 Bradford pear trees may look nice, but South Carolina officially banned the sale, distribution, and importation of Bradford pear trees because they’re an invasive species. They spread fast, crowd out native plants, and split apart in storms—bad news for wildlife and your yard!
That’s why Columbia Green is teaming up with Clemson, Midlands Native Plant Society, and The South Carolina Forestry Commission for the Bradford Pear Bounty!
Here’s how it works:
📸 Snap a photo of yourself with your Bradford pear tree after it’s been cut down
🔁 Show your photo — no need to bring the tree!
🌱 Get a native plant replacement
Trade your weak, invasive tree for something strong, native, and wildlife-friendly. 💚🐦🦋
Cut it down. Snap a pic. Plant something better. 🌳✨
