About this Event
Garden Swap Social
Join us for a free community Garden Swap Social hosted by the Brainerd Park Neighborhood Association. The social consists of a workshop on learning how to start plants from seeds and transplanting tips, followed by a Q&A with a local garden expert speaker, and a space to pick from your choice of donated seeds, plants, and small garden tools.
Our goal is to provide a casual, in-person get-together where neighbors connect, swap goodies, and celebrate all things gardening. We have already collected a wide variety of options for all garden enthusists. Whether you're just starting out or a pro, come have fun and grow your garden community!
How the "swap" will work:
The organizer is collecting all seeds, plants, and small tools in advance and the day of the event from community members that are willing to donate directly. The seeds, plants, and small tools will be organized by type for all attendees to choose from easily. All remaining donations will be donated to local community organizations.
For all donations, please contact the organizer directly at (817)925-2994.
Parking Tips:
This event will be held inside of the Brainerd United Methodist Church, next to Lundy Hall/Gym on the right side of the building. Parking is available in front of the gym, as well as on the lefthand side of the church and behind the church building (accessible from the left side parking lot). There is also residential street parking available on the side of Lundy Hall/Gym. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to accommodate finding parking as they share parking lots with another church building that may have events going on near a similar time. Please note that this is not a religious affiliated event.
