About this Event
“America is not a racist country” - Nikki Haley, August 24, 2020. This proclamation, announced at the Republican National Convention, is the genesis of BOY IN A BOX, which explores the systemic racism that created America. A brilliant, canceled History Professor gives a searing final lecture tracing America’s “original sin”, four hundred years in the making. The result is a powerful response to that absurd comment and a call for all of us to rise up, speak out, and let the boy out of the box.
