Erica Smole is 4 degree Executive Bourbon Steward. She is excellent at pairings and flights and loves to teach about bourbon. You will learn all of the laws associated with bourbon, how to read a label.... (As in what does each word in Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey means) The chemical process of distillation, history of bourbon, how the wood has so much effect on the flavor and SO MUCH MORE
The Stave and Thief Society is a bourbon certification program that provides in-depth education about bourbon production, history, and sensory evaluation, allowing individuals to become "Certified Bourbon Stewards" with recognized expertise, similar to a sommelier for wine; it is considered the industry standard for bourbon knowledge and is officially recognized by the Kentucky Distillers Association as their "Official Bourbon Education Course."
Learn everything you ever wanted know about bourbon. We will provide a light lunch/snack/water.
Included for $150. is your book ($75) a the class and code for testing ($75) and a light lunch
We begin promtly at Noon, we will be ready for you at 11:30. Please come early and bring a pen and highlighter.
