About this Event
Boston Pride for the People Parade
Boston Pride for the People (BP4TP) invites nonprofits, community organizations, schools, solidarity groups, businesses, employee/business resource groups, and elected/candidate officials to register as marching contingents in the BP4TP Parade.
Pride emerged from resistance to injustice and the demand for dignity, safety, and liberation for LGBTQ+ people. Today, as our communities continue to face discrimination, political attacks, and threats to our rights, Pride remains a powerful act of collective visibility and solidarity.
The Boston Pride for the People Parade honors that legacy by celebrating resistance, advocacy, and community through joy. Our Parade is a community-centered space where LGBTQ+ people, allies, and advocates come together to uplift one another, affirm our shared humanity, and show that our community continues to organize, care for each other, and fight for a more just world.
Participation as a marching contingent allows organizations and groups to stand visibly in support of LGBTQ+ communities while celebrating the resilience, creativity, and power of our movement. Contingents may march on foot and may register vehicles or floats as add-ons during the registration process.
Registration categories are structured based on organization type and annual revenue to help keep participation accessible for grassroots and community-led groups while supporting the costs required to produce a safe, inclusive, and accessible event.
All participating groups must review the Parade Rules, Frequently Asked Questions, and participation guidelines before registering. At least one representative from each contingent must attend a Group Leader orientation prior to the event.
Space in the Parade is limited and registration may close once capacity is reached. Early registration is encouraged.
We look forward to marching together in solidarity, celebration, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.
Boston Pride For The People (BP4TP) is a volunteer and community-run non-profit group working to empower, celebrate, commemorate, and educate in partnership with Boston’s LGBTQ+ communities. In 2023, BP4TP hosted and managed Boston’s first Pride parade and festivals in more than three years, bringing New England’s largest Pride parade back to its home in Boston.
