About this Event
Presented in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings and the 50th anniversary of Wilmington College’s Peace Resource Center, this powerful performance tells the true story of three musical instruments that survived World War II and the people who once played them. Composer Dai Fujikura collaborated with German playwright duo Tauchgold to create this narratorio (a hybrid of play and oratorio) which combines live music and storytelling in a theatrical reflection on war, memory, and hope. The event is co-presented with Wilmington College's Peace Resource Center and will also be performed in Wilmington on Tuesday September 30 at the Murphy Theatre.
Composer Dai Fujikura will host a talk-back after each performance.
Talk Low Festival ticket and pass holders will receive a special discount.
