COURSE OVERVIEWThe Patrol Captain Award will prepare experienced senior Surf Lifeguards to lead and manage routine and non-routine surf lifesaving situations including managing patrols, incidents, rescues and actively manage the health, safety and wellbeing of all patrol members.
The course focusses on building skills and knowledge related to leadership, resource management, decision making and compliance with National and Club requirements
PREREQUISITES
• Current member of an SLS club
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Surf Lifeguard Award (refreshed) OR Patrol Support Award (Refreshed) having already held a Surf Lifeguard Award.
• Vice Patrol Captain Award
• Surf First Aid (refreshed)
• Minimum 2 seasons active patrolling experience
The online Patrol Captain pre-learning must be completed via EtrainU before attending the course.

COURSE COST: Free
*The cost of this course is covered with support from AON however if you register for a course but do not attend, your Club will be charged
