Booneanza is back! 🗺️💎Get ready for Booneanza ’26, a puzzle-based treasure hunt and fundraiser hosted by the Boone County History & Culture Center. The adventure begins Saturday, April 25 at 9 a.m., with Boone County as your game board for clever challenges, hidden clues, and unexpected locations. This year’s event is proudly presented by Buchroeders Jewelers.
Teams of friends, families, or solo adventurers will tackle 8–12 interconnected puzzles that guide you from one location to the next. Hints are available for purchase if you get stuck. While every team that completes all puzzles will earn a limited-edition Booneanza challenge coin, only one team will find the hidden treasure — a natural GIA-certified round 2.53 carat diamond valued at $10,000.
Booneanza is our signature fundraiser, with every penny supporting the Center and its mission to preserve and share Boone County’s stories.
The kickoff begins at 9 a.m. — whether you join us at the Center to pick up a commemorative wax-sealed puzzle or start the hunt from home — with your first puzzle delivered via email.
No experience is needed — curiosity, teamwork, and creative thinking are all it takes. Out-of-town participants are welcome, and many teams make a full weekend of it in Columbia.
