About this Event
The French Library is excited to announce our new Books & Bottles Series!
We will be following a journey through Burgundy with James Beard-nominated Cat Silirie, sampling wines and discussing Clementine in the Kitchen, in a new exploration of French wine.
Join us for our first session where you will be guided through Burgundy vineyards with references to Clementine in the Kitchen by Samuel Chamberlain. This charming memoir and cookbook recount the adventures of a New England family and their talented Burgundian cook, Clementine, across pre-war France and Massachusetts. It showcases her introducing authentic French cuisine to American households, blending humor with over 170 classic recipes.
This class offers a thoughtful, accessible entry into Burgundy while providing depth and context that seasoned enthusiasts will appreciate. Cat will guide participants through Burgundy with a curated selection of Burgundy Blanc and Rouge, exploring Chardonnay and Pinot Noir through the lenses of place, producer, and tradition.
