About this Event

About this Class:

It’s time to get your hands messy! In our hands-on format, you’ll be diving right in and making our dish with ingredients prepared by our Eataly kitchens. Our Scuola Chef will prepare a curated antipasto for you to taste in the class. You then get to enjoy your culinary creation straight out of the burner.

About this Dish:

Simple and flavorful, Pasta all'Amatriciana is named for the small town of Amatrice, located about an hour northeast of Rome. Like many other Roman classics, this sauce is a simple but perfect balance of spicy chili, sharp Pecorino Romano cheese, sweet-tart tomato sauce, and rich guanciale, or cured pork jowl. In this class, you’ll make the sauce from scratch.

In this Class You Will:

  • Learn about the traditions and culture of Pasta all' Amatriciana
  • Observe as our Scuola Chef teaches the group how to make Pasta all' Amatriciana
  • Make your own Amatriciana sauce
  • Enjoy a menu featuring an antipasto and wine pairing, as well as your own finished Pasta all' Amatriciana
