"Born in Houston, Texas, I was raised in Columbia, SC. After high school, I attended Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA where I majored in English and minored in Political Science. Upon my college graduation, I worked for a few years before attending law school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Over the years, my awareness of social justice concerns has heightened; namely the injustices and discriminatory practices in the American workplace. Suffice it to say, I believe that my poetry book is noteworthy in that it describes the trials and tribulations of the modern work environment from a unique and compelling perspective. It explores the differences and challenges faced in the workplace."
