Book Launch: Yotam Marom presents For Louder Days: Reaching Beyond a Politics of Powerlessness
With special guests Phillip Agnew, Varshini Prakash, Waleed Shahid, and Julie Xu
Free with RSVP (Donation optional)
Brooklyn-based activist Yotam Marom launches his debut For Louder Days, a brilliant, lyrical clarion cry for a more honest, more strategic, more loving approach to progressive activism and movement building. Grounded in decades of experience in movements, Marom dives deep into the challenges that hold movements back, and offers stories, tools, and paths toward real power and enduring change. Special guests Phillip Agnew, Varshini Prakash, Waleed Shahid, and Julie Xu each read aloud from the book, and share from their own experiences leading prominent national movements and powerful New York City efforts to win power for working class people. The presentation is followed by a Q&A, hosted by Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church (LAPC), a congregation with a history of social justice activism.
This event is free with RSVP; optional donations benefit LAPC. Books available for preorder or for purchase onsite.
