Book Launch: The Research Handbook on Corporate Psychopaths
Join us for the launch of , edited by Dr Clive Boddy, a leading researcher in the field of psychopathy and leadership.
At this event, Dr Boddy will discuss the book and explore who corporate and political psychopaths are, how they behave, and the far‑reaching impacts they have on organisations and society. Having researched and written on corporate psychopaths since 2005, Dr Boddy argues that psychopathy in leaders has been a central driver of organisational and political history. The significance of his work is reflected in his placement in the 2025 Stanford/Elsevier global rankings of academics, where he is ranked above several recent Nobel Prize winners and most other business academics based in Cambridge.
The Research Handbook on Corporate Psychopaths brings together 29 chapters by 24 international authors. The book defines and measures the characteristics, behaviours, and impacts of psychopathic individuals at scales ranging from the personal to the societal. Offering theoretical, multidisciplinary, and applied perspectives, it provides valuable insights into identifying, managing, and dealing with corporate psychopaths within organisational settings.
The event will be introduced by Dr Max Tookey, Senior Lecturer in Management, Psychology and Research Methods at the University of the Arts London. Max will introduce both Clive Boddy and his own chapter in the handbook, which examines the chronology of research into corporate psychopaths. Max has been teaching about corporate psychopaths since 2011 and brings a strong perspective on the importance of psychopathy in organisational and political leadership.
