On Thursday, April 23 at 4:00pm, the Mt. Pleasant Book Club will host a special reading and book discussion with Michael Abraham, author of April’s book of the month, Providence, VA. The novel tells the realistic scenario of a 17 year old violin prodigy who is in Galax for the Old Fiddler’s Convention. When tragedy strikes, leaving her seemingly trapped and orphaned, she and her tiny host community work together to deal with the epic disaster. Michael Abraham is a native of southwestern Virginia and a habitual wanderer of the Appalachian Mountains. He resides in Montgomery County.Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church
