About this Event
Following the tradition of Monday night rehearsal bands, the Boise Modern Jazz Orchestra rehearses most Mondays throughout the year. The band reads a wide range of jazz literature with a focus on elevating the level of engagement within the big band jazz idiom. The band performs in public a few times yearly at venues and events such as the Sapphire Room, the Bouquet, the Gene Harris Jazz Festival, and they were the headline ensemble for the very first Boise Music Week Jazz Night. BMJO also performs for benefit and fundraising events in schools throughout the Treasure Valley of Idaho in support of jazz education.

With the purchase of a ticket, Sapphire guests are eligible for The Riverside Hotel's "Sapphire Getaway" for $179 + tax. This rate is available for the night of the Sapphire Room show and includes a standard hotel room (double occupancy) and breakfast for two the following morning. To reserve, please call the Riverside Hotel front desk at 208-343-1871. The Sapphire Getaway rate is subject to availability and blackout dates. It will not be available for every show.
