Worum geht es?
Bohrkerne sind Proben der Erdoberfläche. Die Analyse dieser Bohrkerne liefert unzählige wissenschaftliche Informationen über die Erdgeschichte. Unser Workshop fragt nach den Bohrkernen der Zukunft. Die Herausforderungen sind vielfältig: die "Ablagerungszeit" ist im Vergleich mit klassischen Bohrkernen extrem kurz, höchstens einige Jahrzehnte. Aber: anthropogene Ablagerungen, die Vermüllung der Welt, nimmt rapide zu. Das Wissen über die Zukunft ist lückenhaft. Doch der Fantasie sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Bohren wir einfach die Zukunft an.

Thinking backwards about the future and shaping the future from the future
What is it about?
Drill cores are samples of the Earth's surface. Analyzing these drill cores provides countless scientific insights into the history of the Earth. Our workshop asks about the drill cores of the future. The challenges are manifold: the “deposition time” is extremely short compared to classic drill cores, at most a few decades. But: anthropogenic deposits, the littering of the world, are increasing rapidly. Knowledge about the future is patchy. But there are no limits to the imagination. Let's just drill into the future.
