About this Event

East Inspiration Day

8 May 2026 | Thrales End Farm, Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Join farmers, agronomists and industry professionals for a day of practical learning, discussion and on-farm insight at the BOFIN East Inspiration Day.

Hosted at Thrales End Farm, this event will showcase work from the TRUTH Project, exploring how soil health underpins resilient and productive farming systems.

Throughout the day, attendees will hear from farmers and technical experts, take part in discussion sessions and head into the field to see trials in action.

What to expect

The programme will include:

  • A welcome and introduction to BOFIN and the TRUTH project
  • A presentation from host farmer Ted Allen-Stevens on the trials taking place at Thrales End
  • A technical talk from Zara Northern, Soil Services Specialist at Hutchinsons
  • An interactive panel and workshop exploring peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange in farming
  • A guided farm walk to view TRUTH trials and discuss soil health insights directly in the field

Farm walk

In the afternoon we’ll take a tour around the farm to visit the TRUTH trials and explore how they are helping build an evidence base for regenerative farming practices. This is an opportunity to see the work first-hand, ask questions and discuss the findings with those involved.
