About this Event

Join us for an evening of body horror with authors Gemma Amor, Sarah Maria Griffin, Andrea Morstabilini and Leigh Radford exploring their grotesque and skin crawling new horror novels. From blood thirsty plants, to decaying husbands, live autopsies and bugs under your skin, this evening is sure to hold horrors galore.

Gemma Amor is a Bram Stoker and British Fantasy Award nominated horror author, editor, illustrator and podcaster based in Bristol UK. She was named one of Esquire's Writers Shaping Horror's Next Golden Age, and recently featured in Ellen Datlow's prestigious Best Horror of the Year Anthology Vol. 15. Gemma loves to write about misunderstood monsters, both human and supernatural, as well as feminist horror.

Sarah Maria Griffin is a writer living in Dublin, Ireland. She is the author of the novels Spare & Found Parts and Other Words For Smoke, which won an Irish Book Award in 2019. She writes about video games for The Guardian, and her nonfiction has appeared in The Irish Times, The Winter Papers, and The Stinging Fly, amongst other places. She also makes zines. She posts on Instagram under @sarahgriffski.

Andrea Morstabilini was born in Lodi, in the misty middle of the Po Valley, in Northern Italy. He studied Modern Literature at the University of Milan with a thesis on the Fantastic in late 19th century Italian literature. He (predictably) loves Gothic novels and architecture, the theatre, cats, and cemeteries. He also works as an editor. He lives in Milan, and sometimes Kraków, with his husband.

Leigh Radford trained as a broadcast journalist. She produced and presented arts and entertainment content and documentaries for UK commercial radio, BBC radio, Time Out, The Times, and The Sun. As a former book publicist, she is a 2023 graduate of Faber Academy. She is currently developing content for film and television through her production company Kenosha Kickers. One Yellow Eye is her heartbreaking and propulsive debut novel set in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.
