Bodies in Motion: Exploring Contact Improvisation
Age Group: 13+ years and Adults
A 3-Day Workshop from 12-14th May, resulting in a site-specific showcase on 17th May.
Contact improvisation is a playful movement practice that builds awareness of your own body, others, and the space you share. Through touch, weight, and momentum, you learn to negotiate, support, and be supported -- creating connection between performers without words. It gives you freedom to discover your own movement vocabulary, shaped by curiosity rather than set steps. This personal language can support your practice in any discipline. At its core, the practice returns to the roots: moving before technique, playing before performing. It invites us away from unseen daily stress and back into the body’s intelligence, where trust, risk, and creativity meet in the moment.
