About this Event
We are delighted to welcome Bob Geldof and Paul Vallely to Foyles Charing Cross Road for a one-night-only evening of conversation to mark the release of Live Aid: The Definitive 40-Year Story.
In 1985, with £100+ million in his back pocket from Live Aid – the greatest rock concert the world had ever seen – Bob Geldof took a trip across Africa to decide how the money should be spent. He asked award-winning journalist and best-selling author, Paul Vallely, to go with him. In the four decades that followed Vallely became one of Geldof’s closest advisers, travelling with him all round the world.
Live Aid: The Definitive 40-Year Story is the authoritative, eye-witness account of the 40-year journey behind Live Aid, written with a foreword by Bob Geldof.
Vallely and Geldof will be in conversation at Foyles Charing Cross Road about the Live Aid story and this essential new book with New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author and editor Dylan Jones.
The event will be followed by a book signing.
