WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This Board Governance training workshop is aimed at artists, creatives and arts workers, including prospective, new and existing board members, looking to strengthen their role on the Board.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the role and duties of not-for-profit board members/directors, and governance best practice. Through real-world case studies and interactive discussion, this course empowers you to understand your responsibilities as a board member.
The course covers:
- the roles and responsibilities of charity trustees/board directors under Company Law and Charity Law;
- board meetings;
- board papers;
- reviewing the board;
- board relationships;
- conflicts of interest;
- governance and management;
- and the Charities Governance Code.
