Wackadoo! Take an exciting heritage train ride out into the countryside to see Bluey, and listen to tales of her adventures during story time, at The Engine House Visitor Centre, Highley, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March.Pre-book a train ticket and travel from either Kidderminster or Bridgnorth. On arrival at Highley, for The Engine House, you can see Bluey, during pre-booked story time sessions before exploring the interactive exhibits and the outdoor play area. There will also be additional family activities throughout the day for everyone to enjoy – all included in your ticket price!
What’s at The Engine House? The Engine House is a short walk from Highley Station, and it’s where you can get up-close-and-personal with some very special locomotives. Check out the impressive blue-liveried LMR 600 ‘Gordon’, as well as LMS Stanier 8F 48773, which had a famous encounter with a camel in World War II, and many more full-size, out-of-service engines. There’s a cafe, gift shop, play area and toilets, as well as mini-golf and magic shows throughout the day. If the weather’s nice, you can enjoy a walk down to the river or up into the Severn Valley Country Park.
