Blue Light Sessions presents Sweet Queens of Chaos & Slowicide!
Sweet Queens of Chaos has come to carve a new path in music. One where every shattered norm paves the way for radical new worlds of moment-devouring, soul-resurrecting experiences embodying the immortal spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Frontwoman Aunya Jayde heard whispers from beyond the veil that life was not as she was led to believe. Those whispers became a calling: revealing that divinity doesn’t dwell in controlled perfection, but in the wild, untamed beauty we’re taught to fear. Chaos is not destruction: it is creation awaiting release.
Embracing a life of self-exploration and artistic endeavour, her journey led her from home in Saskatoon, SK to Vancouver, BC. There, she met Cam Tough (Bass), Chris Doheny (Drums) and Jim MacLean (Guitar): three local, childhood friends whose jam sessions resounded like Zeus sketching thunder across the sky. Amidst the ensuing chaos, they found their place, their genre-defying sound, and their mission: To give the world a reason to rock again.

Slowicide is the all-femme/them alternative rock-band daughter of divorced dad rock, taking the fury of 90s riot grrrl punk and fusing it with melodic indie pop. Based in Vancouver, BC, Slowicide was established in late 2023 by Filipina-Canadian vocalist/rhythm guitarist Raine Bongon and has since evolved into a quartet including Sophia Castellarin on lead guitar, Yaz Gruno on drums/backing vocals and Brie Dunphy on bass/backing vocals.
Since their debut on Vancouver's underground punk scene, the band has released three promising singles, played local festivals such as Music Waste and garnered radio play on CiTR 101.9 FM, Girls Rock Camp Vancouver Radio 100.5 FM and 3615 Radio in Paris, France.
