After a sold out performance last year, The Blue Grassy Knoll are back at the Theatre Royale, for another barnstorming performance.This year they're bringing Buster Keaton's all-time classic The General - a silent comedy masterpiece set during the American Civil War, following a determined railroad engineer who chases his stolen locomotive. Keaton blends elaborate stunts, precise physical comedy, and large-scale action into a deadpan, inventive adventure built around love, obsession, and machines, as well as unforgettable cinematic ingenuity.
In recreating the silent movie experience the band commit the music to memory, using the film itself for their cues – a truly amazing experience to witness. Their charismatic presentation and amazing musicianship draws the audience into the show, bringing Buster’s classic movies to life as never before, and creating a dazzling, “natural” multi-media experience.
