After the devastation of the January 2026 Ravenswood bushfire, the VMR is officially reopening as a whole weekend-long fundraiser!! 🎉Trains will be running from
Saturday 21st, Feb, 8am - 5pm
and
Sunday 22nd, Feb, 8am - 5pm
This Event will cost $10 per person per ride and will return to the normal price of $5 after this weekend (Under 2 and Companion Card holders ride for free)
A Sausage sizzle run by the Harcourt Lion Club will also be on site all weekend.
Fellow Melbourne Train Clubs will be bring their trians and carriages to help support the reopeing. Even if you have visted before, this will be a chance to ride a different train! Many Thanks to Altona Miniature Railway, Box Hill Miniature Steam Railway and Diamond Valley Railway.
50% of the funds raised from purchased tickets will be contributed towards the VMR and local Harcourt community projects to help rebuild after the January 2026 Ravenswood bushfire.
We can't wait to welcome the public back to the Victorian Miniature Railway!!
