Blossom Kite Festival - FREE In-Person Event - Washington, DC
The Blossom Kite Festival, formerly the Smithsonian Kite Festival, is an annual kite event usually held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. during the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
The festival was founded in 1967 by aviation pioneer Paul E. Garber, the first curator of the National Air and Space Museum (NASM).
