About this Event

THIS HIKE IS CO-SPONSORED BY

A scenic hike is a great way to unwind and unplug. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hiker, this is the perfect trail to discover the serenity of the Greenway.


The trail we’ll blaze will be an easy 3-mile loop with small, crushed gravel terrain and minimal inclines/elevation changes. We'll introduce you to the ten essentials of hiking travel and the principles of Leave No Trace. All skill sets are welcome; however, children are not permitted on this hike for safety reasons.


This is a great opportunity to:

  • Connect with other doulas, birth workers, and birth advocates in a casual setting
  • Enjoy the beauty of nature and get some exercise
  • De-stress and recharge

The McAlpine Creek Loop is a beautiful 3-mile trail perfect for hikers of all experience levels. The trail winds along McAlpine Creek and offers plenty of shade and scenic views.

HIKING DIFFICULTY: Easy. Approximately 3 miles from start to finish.

RESTROOMS. Available at the trailhead.

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR. Please wear comfortable hiking boots and remember to pack:

  • Camera and/or binoculars
  • Water
  • Snacks and/or lunch
  • Basic first aid kit (Band-Aids, antiseptic wipes, ibuprofen)
  • Sunglasses & sunscreen
  • A backpack to carry it in

PARKING & MEET-UP DETAILS. All registered participants will be provided with parking and meet-up details 48 hours before the event. However, please note that we will head towards the trail promptly at 10 a.m., so plan accordingly.

INCLEMENT WEATHER. Updates regarding delays or event cancellations will be provided to registered hikers via email and text.

WAIVER REQUIREMENT. All registrants who wish to participate in any activity organized or facilitated by Camping Noire must read and sign the before arrival. If you do not wish to sign, you will not be permitted to attend the hike. This holds for all attendees, Camping Noire members, guests, and the general public.

PHOTO RELEASE. We cherish the memories captured during our event and kindly ask you to complete the , permitting us to include you in our event's media coverage. Your willingness to participate adds to the magic of our community gatherings.
