Print & Repeat
Print & Repeat is a focused study of rhythm, repetition, and pattern.
Working in an analogue studio at Berlin’s only sustainable block-printing atelier, participants approach print as a design practice, learning how structure, spacing, and repetition shape visual form.
Using eco-friendly inks, hand-carved woodblocks, and found tools, you will design and print repeat patterns, exploring how even a single block can inspire a complex surface pattern.
Informed by Bauhaus principles, Print Thinking, and heritage craft research, this session balances experimentation with structure.
The Atelier Experience
The atelier is an analogue space; we function in offline mode.
We encourage exploration through a pause from screens and digital noise. Our workshops are designed to support focused, tactile creative exploration. Print for us is a way of thinking.
This experience is built on our philosophy of Print Thinking, our focus on slow craft, and our practice of mindful making.
Hosted in a working textile research atelier in Berlin, you step directly into an active print lab environment.

From the hands of a printer, the heart of a storyteller.
"Every print we make carries its own story. I am looking forward to sharing all the stories of a decade of print thinking."
“Each workshop brings me back to the teachings of my teachers in the field. Their work continues to shape how I think about print, colour exploration and the tools that we use in our print practice. Most importantly, we continue to learn to listen to material. I look forward to sharing the stories of my teachers and their practices, and to inspiring each participant to find their own language within print thinking.”
