Join the Bureau of Land Management and the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton for a wild horse and burro adoption event featuring trained animals gathered from Wyoming public lands.
The event will offer:
- Saddle-started horses
- Halter-started yearlings
- Gentled burros
Both days are free and open to anyone interested in wild horses, the Honor Farm gentling process, and the BLM Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program.
BLM staff will be available both days to provide adoption applications and answer questions about the adoption process.
The horses and burros are current on vaccinations, deworming, and Coggins testing.
Since 1988, the Wyoming Honor Farm has partnered with the BLM to help place thousands of horses and burros into private care. The program also supports meaningful rehabilitation work for Honor Farm inmates and has long been an important part of the facility’s programming.
