About this Event
A FREE, family-friendly community gathering for Blind, Low Vision and Visually Impaired people on Toronto Island's Hanlan's Point Beach. Children until 14 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Tuesday, August 26th from 4-8pm
WHERE?
Hanlan's Point Beach
WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Itinerary:
- Meet at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at the statue of Jack Layton riding a bike at 3:15pm. The organizer will be wearing a neon yellow T-shirt
-Depart as a group on the ferry to Hanlan's Point at 3:45pm
- Go to Hanlan's Point beach as a group
- 4pm -7:15pm is BEACH TIME!
- Pack up time - 7:15pm and go back to ferry dock.
- Depart on 7:45pm ferry as a group
-Return to city by 8pm
WHAT TO BRING:
- CNIB CARD @cnibfoundation (cardholders receive FREE roundtrip fare on the Toronto ferry). Those who are not clients of the CNIB must purchase a roundtrip ferry ticket.
- Blanket or beach chair
- Beachwear-Sunblock
-Snacks and water
- Hat / beach umbrella
- Sunglasses
Guide Dogs CELEBRATED and WELCOME!
*One large tent (fits 8-10 adults) will be available for those who cannot be in the direct sun. First come first served. If you need guaranteed shade, please bring an umbrella.
