Bleakness (FRA)French trio BLEAKNESS explores its influences from the 80s, such as English post-punk and Californian death rock, and mixes them with its hardcore punk roots. The result is dark and energetic, engaged and melancholic. Bleakness takes the atmosphere of the early days of gothic and injects it with a strong dose of hardcore punk rage. Like the music, the lyrics are a dark observation of the times we live in - a collection of life stories from an oppressed and angry generation.
