A nice walk to the Trig point at Blackstone Edge at 473 m it's one of the highest points in the area and it sits on the Pennine way on the border with West Yorkshire it offers great views over Rochdale and the South PenninesThe walk is just over Three Miles and will take between 1.30 - 3 hours depending on how long we stay at the top, weather conditions and how many people take part
The forecast is looking great but Blackstone Edge is a very exposed area so the Weather can change at short notice I would advise you to bring small bag with some water etc and some extra layers and a waterproof coat hopefully we won’t need them
Children are welcome as long as they are with the parent/carer who will take full responsibility for them
Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept under control by the owner
The post code only takes you so far just keep following the road until you see the huge transmitter mast at Windy Hill there will be a car park on your left with a cafe
