Black Women Rising - Together We Rise 5k Trek

To celebrate Black Women Rising's 7th birthday, we’re inviting 100 women to walk, step and stride a 5K route in Fryent Country Park, London, each aiming to raise £200 to help us fund our mission to support women of colour during and after their cancer journeys.

The walk will be facilitated and led by Rhiane Fatinikun fron Black Girls Hike.

Black Women Rising is the award winning programme from UK registered charity The Leanne Pero Foundation. We support women of colour through every step of their cancer diagnosis and support efforts to educate, raise awareness, and influence policy that aims to provide equitable and accessible cancer care for women of colour in the UK.

Despite advances in cancer care, women of colour continue to face significant disparities in diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes. Together, we must keep raising awareness and pushing for much-needed change.

Funds raised from the Together We Rise 5K will directly support our work, ensuring women of colour receive the cancer care and support they need and deserve.
