Come and join us for our special event, curated by AfroSocial & Melanated In Manchester, as we empower and honour Black professionals in the city.
The purpose of this event is to give Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring leaders a safe and empowering environment in which to reflect, converse, and build supportive networks.
We are honoured to announce a distinguished lineup of speakers from Manchester’s black professionals community which includes;

The Speakers:
Deisy, founder of Black Women Mental Health Network.
Deisy has established a healing community based around mental health and self care for Black women in Manchester. Working as a senior perinatal mental health social worker, she has an abundance of experience and recognition within her field. Mental health, and specifically Black mental heath is extremely important and we can’t wait for you to hear more about her journey.
Efia Mainoo, founder of Blackownedmcr, Studios and Marketplace.
Efia is a female entrepreneur that has built and grown a space for not only her own business but also a co-working space for Black business owners in Manchester within the beauty industry, food industry, creative industry, arts and crafts… you name an industry, there is a space for you at the studios! All jokes aside, we can’t wait for you to hear about her journey.
Carolyn, founder of Horizon Capital Estate.
Carolyn specialises in serviced accommodation and residential lettings in Manchester. Horizon Capital Estate has acquired a number of properties located in Manchester and Carolyn has been sharing their property journey all over social media. Carolyn is well experienced within her field and knows the Manchester property market like the back of her hand. We can’t wait for you to hear about her journey.

On the Hush (based in Northern Quarter, M4 1PN). The decor is fresh and floral, featuring graffiti with an urban edge that takes inspiration from the city vibe through feature walls, pop art and even a life-sized phone box for the perfect photo opportunity. Their brunch has recently been voted as one of the city’s best!
