About this Event
Black Queer Artist Club is a creative space dedicated to Black queer and trans people to freely explore art, expression, and community. Through monthly workshops, participants are invited to try out a variety of artistic mediums in an affirming and supportive environment. Each session is guided by Azya Lashelle, a seasoned fine artist and experienced instructor, who brings care, intention, and expertise to the creative process. This is a space to make, experiment, connect, and feel seen,no prior art experience required, just a willingness to show up and create.
This month we’re focusing on Magazine Collages.
This workshop invites Black queer and trans participants to explore collage as a tool for storytelling, reflection, and future-thinking. Using magazines, cut imagery, text, and layered compositions, participants will create collages that explore identity, intention, and imagination. All materials will be provided.
