Description:

Welcome to the Black Men-Talk Health (BMTH) Village, a vital, inspiring and important event focusing on Men of the African-Caribbean's Mental Health and Wellbeing!

Join us for an empowering and uplifting evening promoting positive mental well-being among Men from the African-Caribbean Diaspora. The BMTH is a safe space where we, as melanated men, can come together to share our experiences, connect with one other as well as learn about the tools and resources that can help us prioritize our mental health.

By joining the village, you'll join an open, caring, supportive community of men that have congregated to discuss the unique challenges that Men of the African-Caribbean Diaspora face daily. By the end of the session, you'll leave with tools and resources to enhance your mental and emotional well-being to empower you in your journey towards healing.

Our sessions are uniquely designed to cater to the needs of melanated men in Britain who may have reservations about seeking mental health support and provide signposts through-out the session. We understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment where participants can feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgment. Throughout this inspirational event, we hope to empower and uplift men by raising awareness of the importance of mental wellness.

Throughout the evening, we will have a series of thought-provoking discussions including:

β€’ Stigmas and barriers associated with mental health and how we internalise them,

β€’ Discussions on masculinity, what it means to be a man and our mindsets,

β€’ A deep delve into our minds to reflect, promote healing and increase positive mental health,

β€’ Creating support systems within the community using peer-to-peer development to support self-development, reduce negative emotions and increase accountability,

This event is built from the ground up for us by us with our issues at the centre! This space is open to all African-Caribbean men regardless of age, background, ethnicity, religion, identity (Cisgender, Transgender and Non-Binary welcome) or experience with therapy as we understand men do not have a homogenous experience and all need support.

Together we will build a community of trust and understanding as we journey together towards better mental health creating a stronger and more resilient community for black men. Please join us in our third series of insightful, potent and empowering conversations that we hope will help break down the many barriers that we encounter daily. Whether you are facing mental health challenges, supporting a loved one, or simply wanting to increase your understanding of mental health, this transformative event is for you. Come join us on this journey towards better mental health and well-being!

Please check the FAQ's for more information if needed then click the link to register now and bring a brother, friend, partner and elder to the village with you!

Wishing you love, happiness and most importantly peace. Hope to see you soon and thank you!
