About this Event
The Black History Festival is a unique initiative dedicated to commemorating the enduring relationship between the governments, the private sector, industries, civil society, and the people of Africa, the Americas and the African Diaspora. The Black History Festival aims at celebrating strong ties between Governments, the Private Sector and the Peoples of Africa and the Americas, through their profound influence of exchange programs between these bilateral partners and honoring their contributions.
With over 350 million people, the African Diaspora is described as the largest country after China and India playing a very significant role in the overall development of the African continent for people of African descent. In the United States of America It is estimated that about 43 million people are of black heritage, representing 13% of the total population.
Over the years studies have established the importance of the relationship between the African continent and African Diaspora,highlighting the impact of this relationship to the socio-economic development of Africa and people of African descent.
