About this Event
Join us for a special screening of Uzikee: Washington, DC's Ancestral Sculptor (90 min). A deeply personal film that explores the life & legacy of a master artist whose work blends African aesthetics with Afrofuturist vision. Uzikee is also Doug's uncle and the reason Doug and his son drove across the country to capture this part of their family's legacy.
This intimate portrait, offers a powerful look at Black artistry, legacy, and intergenerational inspiration.
🎤 Talk Back to follow the screening as Cheryl Fabio probes to tell us more.
