On Saturday April 18, join us, EB PREC and LISC Bay Area for live DJs, art, food and so much more at our community cleanup - BLACK EARTH DAY. Come celebrate black arts, black organizations and businesses, and black neighborhoods by giving some care to 7th Street. Bring the whole family! We will meet in front of the historic Esther’s Orbit Room.
10am - 10:30am | SIGN IN, BREAKFAST & WELCOME
- Free coffee & tea
- Bagels & bars and fruit to power you up
- Join your group and grab clean-up supplies
10:30am-12:30pm | COMMUNITY CLEANUP
- Walking down 7th St and making West Oakland even more beautiful
12:30pm-3pm | PARTY TIME
- Free lunch & treats
- DJ The Junior taking us into the afternoon with a soulful mix
BLACK EARTH DAY is a neighborhood initiative of 7th Street Thrives, started in West Oakland to re-imagine and re-create a more vibrant 7th Street. BLACK EARTH DAY is a community affair.
